Here’s where it all started.
Born and raised in Durham, NC, I grew up as the youngest girl of two brothers.
When I was born, one of my brothers—who was only 16 months old at the time—couldn’t pronounce my real name, Karen, so he called me “Ki-ki.” I was adamant that Kiki was my name since I was old enough to talk, and that’s what I’ve gone by ever since!
In 2022, I committed to UNC-Chapel Hill. I planned to major in education and eventually pursue a career in pediatric occupational therapy.
Let’s just say this didn’t last very long, as by my second semester of freshman year the majority of my course load was in the Hussman School of Journalism and Media.
Now, as an official Advertising and Public Relations student in the Hussman school, I am actively working to build my experience and widen my knowledge in the field.
With a special interest in health care, I hope to combine my passions for client-centered strategic communication and creative marketing.
